Our Service

School Lunch
We offer school lunch services Monday to Friday. We try to make the process as seamless as possible for both schools and parents alike. Schools have the flexibility to choose which days (subject to availability, in particular Fridays) and how many days they would like to receive our lunch service, with no minimum days required.
Menu
Our extensive menu is available to all schools. Schools have the flexibility to opt for the full selection, or customise the menu that best aligns with their community needs. We provide two spare lunches with each delivery, in the event a child does not have lunch.
Ordering Cut Off Times & Cancellations
Orders will need to be in before 8:30am Monday to Thursday. Cut off for Friday delivery is 7am. For late orders, parents can contact the store, however, late orders cannot be guaranteed.

If parents would like to cancel or move their order to another day, they can do so on their account PRIOR to 8:30am, Monday to Thursday and 7am on Fridays. After this time, parents will need to contact the store PRIOR to 9am. Unfortunately, we are unable to cancel orders after this time as the kitchen has commenced production.

Fees
We do not charge any fees for our services and there are no lock in contracts. We simply ask for a term’s notice, if a school wishes to discontinue lunch services. As such, the only fees that users incur are merchant fees which are charged by the relevant financial institutions (namely STRIPE and Commonwealth Bank)
Delivery
Schools will need to provide us with lunch times and preferred delivery times and we will endeavour to deliver as closely as possible to the preferred delivery time. Delivery boxes are collected at the next delivery or after lunch (typically on Thursdays).

We do not have minimum order requirements provided a school falls on an existing delivery route. However, if numbers are consistently low, we will engage in conversations with the school/representative to address this.
How To Get Started
Schools wanting to get started with Lunchbox Hub, simply need to complete an On Boarding Form. We simply require confirmation of delivery days and times, menu confirmation and class classifications/groupings. Once we have this information, we’re able to set up a school profile and provided the logistics align, we can get a school on board within 48 hours.

Necessary cutlery is provided for items that require it such as spoons for yoghurt cups and forks for noddle and rice dishes. Please note, napkins are not provided.

How are the deliveries distributed ?

We suggest dedicating student reps or staff members to allocate the lunches once delivered. We always include a list of orders to cross check when handing out the lunches.

Do you meet the school traffic light system?

Currently we have a global menu, 90% of which items meet the traffic light system, however we are happy to consider additional items if accessible and the school deems appropriate for students. Menu's are specific to each school and can be customised as required.

How is the food transported safely

Temperature sensitive food is transported in Commercial Food Grade Transport Go Boxes. These Go Boxes hold safe temperatures for 4+ hours, however the lunches are made as close to the delivery time as possible, so the food spends minimal time in the Go Boxes.

What about dietary requirements?

All items on our school lunch menu are nut free, although it is important to note we operate in a kitchen that contains nuts for our retail sector, therefore we can’t guarantee there will be no ‘traces of nuts’. However, we follow strict measures to prevent any cross contamination where possible.

What about low gluten?

The same applies to our ‘Low Gluten’ and ‘Low Dairy’ items. These ingredients are utilised in our kitchens, therefore we can’t guarantee there will be no traces of gluten or dairy in the lunches. For this reason we have classified items as Low Gluten and Low Dairy.

Is your packaging BPA free?

Where possible we aim to use sustainable packaging, such as paper to wrap sandwiches and brown paper bags to pack lunches for transport and easy disposal. All plastic packaging is BPA free. We are in the process of transitioning to 100% compostable packaging to reduce our wastage where possible.
